Overhead Door Company of Riverton/Lander was established in 1979 and at that time, its primary mission was to provide service and install sectional and coiling doors manufactured by Overhead Door Corporation of Dallas, Texas. Chuck Parmely and his wife Cynthia, knew there was a need for quality door service and installation throughout Fremont County, and they decided to call Riverton home. Chuck began his career installing his first garage door at just 10 years old, so he really was born in the door industry. In 1982 the company was incorporated with the name Alpar Doors Inc, doing business as Overhead Door Company of Riverton/Lander.

Since that time the company has seen continual growth, and it has grown from a (1) man operation having 900 square feet of shop space to now having 16 full time employees and 10,000 square feet of space and an ever-growing product base.

We now offer a full line glass shop providing glass of all sorts, storefront, wood, aluminum, and fibrex-composite windows, shower doors, storm doors, and windows, along with qualified installers for professional installations. We still offer a wide variety of residential and commercial garage doors, coiling doors, strip doors, door openers for both residential and commercial and of course qualified installers for all your door needs. We have a full production hollow metal ship where we fabricate steel door frames and steel doors using materials provided by one of the nations leading manufacturers, Ceco. We have a wide variety of commercial hardware options from hinges, exit devices, levers, knobs, weatherstrip, closers, automatic operators, handicap operators, and all the accessories for them. We offer a huge variety of brand names such as Corbin Russwin, Von Duprin, Yale, Norton, Pemko, Dorma, and many others.

In the 45-year history of the company we have been awarded Overhead Door Corporations prestigious Eagle award countless times, including the last 5 years straight which is a huge milestone in the industry. We also have hit one of Andersen’s highest tiers for their distributors over the last 5 years and install thousands of the many lines of their highest quality windows statewide.
